Columns are matched case-insensitively: Name (required), Region, Primary Category, Service, Reliability, Phone, Email, Instagram, Street Address, City, State, Country, Notes, Contact Name, Contact Email, Contact Title, Contact Position, Source URL, Website, Source of Import. Unrecognized columns are ignored. Region and Primary Category must each match one of the app’s existing values (case-insensitive) — a row with a value outside that list is skipped and listed in the import results rather than creating a new one. Service doesn’t need to match an existing category — a new one becomes a selectable option on the Add Target/detail page dropdown afterward. Source of Import is open-ended too: pick one below or type a new one, and it’s remembered for next time.
If a row’s Name already exists in Vendor, that target is updated instead of duplicated — its existing Notes/History, Tracking, and Contacts are left untouched, and a timestamped note marks that it was updated via import. If Website is provided, Claude looks for this vendor’s LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts (Company Info section on the target’s page) and leaves any it can’t confidently find blank; Website also becomes the target’s “View source” link if no Source URL is given. If Notes is provided, Claude may add a short freeform note to Notes/History for anything else worth flagging — this only runs for genuinely new information, so it never overwrites something already reviewed. You’ll see a preview and can cancel before anything is saved — every row lands in Vendor.
